ThoughtWorks/Career Update

Picked up my plane tickets today…I will be moving to Australia for a while! I heard the final word last night from the ThoughtWorks Australia office and am leaving this Sunday night. When joining ThoughtWorks (TW) I was eager at the prospect of working at one of the international offices in London, China, Australia, or Canada. I have enjoyed the constant change that TW provides. I easily get restless doing the same thing day in day out, week in week out, etc. Last week I was in Hartford, CT and now I will be in Sydney in 6 days.
I had three reasons for joining ThoughtWorks…working on cool projects, in cool locations (ok Hartford CT is not that cool, but Sydney!!), and most importantly with cool (smart) people. In my short tenure hear I found that thankfully, TW is littered with extremely talented people. My expectations have been more then filled and I keep learning from everyone. Obviously learning from developers light years ahead of me was a primary objective, but I have learned much also from the BAs, QAs, PMs, and TW support staff here.
Anyone looking for a great company in a great place I suggest checking out the careers here. Australia has some big demands for talent, so even though the career section on the TW site doesn’t indicate Australia positions open, they exist. I can always forward for you too.
